Kickin' that Funky Cypress Hill Shit

Oh, the classic nasal voice of mister B-Real, singer of the psychedelic band Cypress Hill. Roll that joint, yo! I sometimes wonder what ever happened to this band. Their first three albums, self-titled, Black Sunday and III Temple of Boom, were awesome hits of the early 90s. After those hits the ship took a hit. They lost their edge, but apparently they still play. Wonder when that dope album will be recorded. It's been a year or so since they said a new album would come out. Kind of reminding me of One Day As A Lion - dammnit De La Rocha, make the album.
Now, let's kick that funky Cypress Hill shit.

99 cents and I am still alive

Oh, the feeling of no more exams. Oh, yes that feeling. I can finally relax without thinking about exams or essays to write....for now. However, no time for too much relaxation. Nope. Time to find a freaking job. Damn it.
*looks at watch*
Damn, almost time for the Rangers - Capitals game. Damn. *stretches* Time for me to grab my 99 cent energy drink (Rockstar). *Yawn*
Oh yeah.

Addicted to Jane

Oh how sweet she is. Looking at Jane. Talking to Jane. Wow. I am addicted to Jane. They keep telling me "Fuck is wrong with you Cloud? Jane ain't real hommie. Let's go for a pint." Yeah, they keep telling me. Jane says. She says plenty. Sometimes she does and says nothing, yet gives the impression of a million words. Jane says. Hell, I say a lot of things. Most of it means nothing. Sometimes it means something, but only to the very few. A tad of that, a tad of this. Pass the salt around, will ya?
Addicted to Jane. Hell is not hot enough. Jane says. Plenty and nothing. Sometimes everything. The west side. The east side. Means nothing to me. Directions, really. Connection to rap, my ass. Jane says. Loads.
Love is complicated. Nothing is love. Everything is love. Jane says. She knows a lot. She knows nothing. She means no harm, she just doesn't know. Sometimes scream her name to feel it all. Jane says.
Jane's Addiction. Truly.

Another minute and I'll be streaking....

Taking 5 minutes away from the fun shit I have been doing for the past 2 hours - studying - to write on this blog. Oh, the bloody joy. Oh, the bloody agony. Of course I feel like I have learned nothing, done nothing, read nothing - just sat and stared at the sky. Oh, the painful joy!! That's fucking right - TWO bloody exclamation marks, TWO. Hell I can put another for a more glamorizing effect - whatever that may mean to you. Glamorizing my ass. That's how you spell it, right? Meh, it's not freaking underlined by this beautiful invention of spell check - this shit makes me spelling worse at times, i.e changes there's to their's. Christ, there is a difference. Anyways, what was I getting at?
*takes a deep breath* I completely forgot. Fucking spell check and my bloody exclamation points. Listening to music as I type this; though I doubt you (whoever you are) are interested in who, what, where it is. Hell, I'm not even interested. I just thought I'd shove that note in here for no purpose. I'm fun aren't I?
Oh, fuck it. Yes, yes fuck it.
*Throws book off the desk*
*leaves*

Boston Sweep the Craphabs: Michael Ryder #1 Star

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHH, thunder road!!
Excerpt from Bruce Springsteen's Thunder Road

Except roll down the window
And let the wind blow
Back your hair
Well the night's busting open
These two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back
Heaven's waiting on down the tracks
Oh-oh come take my hand
We're riding out tonight to case the promised land
Oh-oh Thunder Road oh Thunder Road
Lying out there like a killer in the sun
Hey I know it's late we can make it if we run
Oh Thunder Road sit tight take hold
Thunder Road

The Bruins win! The Bruins win! Michael Ryyyyyyyyyyyyder, baby. 2 beauties and 1 assist. Take that Montreal. Christ, and they let this sniper go because they were too lazy to help him out last year. Thank you Gainey for Ryder.
I'll add some thoughts about the stupid Hab fans at the bell center in tonights game sometime this week. I just find them (in general. the ones at the game) idiotic for booing Price when it was NOT his fault the team in front of him can't fucking skate, defend and score. Stupid morons! Way to discourage and break a kid. And then these morons want star players to sign in Montreal. LMFAO x10000000. Star players signing in Montreal? Are cows flying in Montreal?

Tell me why

URGH! Two more exams to write. URGH! Stupid Bruins game tonight - if they win they eliminate the Habs. URGH! What did I do to deserve this? URGH!

Done and done

OK! I know I have failed myself with this blog being lazy and all (well, I can't think of any other excuse). That being said I am handing in my resignation. That's right. The CONE is calling it quits with this blog on "reality". Quit!
*bites into a cookie*
Fuck that! Who said I was leaving? As a matter of fact, I am back. Well, when these bloody exams are over. So close, yet so far away.
On another note, LOOOOOCH is amazing. I love that kid (not in a sexual way you pervs!).

RYDER for the win

Game 3 of the playoffs; number 3 in the win column for Boston Bruins. Although the Boston Bruins looked terrible in the first two periods, they managed to put together a strong third. The highlight of the game would be Michael Ryders wide open net game winning goal. Damn, I'm sure the Hab fans - especially Silent Bob - are biting their nails right now.
Boston have showed that they are a much more talented team overall than the Montreal Canadiens. Sure, the Habs were missing Markov, Schneider, Lang and Tanguay tonight, but let's face it, a healthy Montreal team cannot beat the Bruins this year. Last year? Yes, it was highly possible. This year? Just not possible. Don't get me wrong, the habs have an O.K team that is playoff worthy, but they just don't have everyone playing together. Bunch of individuals if you ask me.
Game 4 should be more intense, if it hasn't been already. Milan Lucic will be dressed so you can expect a shitloads of Hab players falling on their asses. Will George Laraque be dressed? I doubt it, but I won't be surprised if he is.
My prediction for game 4 can go two ways; either the Bruins have a large lead into the third and some fights occur, or the Habs force a game 5. Lucic vs. Laraque? I doubt it, but look for Thornton to fight Laraque should Lucic receive a dirty hit by Big George.

NHL playoffs: EAST

Boston (1) vs. Montreal (8)

This will be a roller coaster ride. Sure the Bruins have dominated the season series (5-0-1), but if you know the history of the Bruins-Habs in the playoffs then you know season records mean nothing. No doubt that the Bruins dominate in offense, defense, goalie and special teams - though they are close in special teams. That being said, Boston should win the series. And I am predicting Boston to win in 6 games, but it will not be easy.

Boston in 6.

Washington (2) vs. New York Rangers (7)

Rangers are weak offensively and defensively. They do have a goalie - Lundqvist - that can easily steal games, but how many? Definately not 4 against Washington. How do the Rangers stop Ovechkin? By putting defenseman paul Mara on him? Maybe Derek Morris? Don't make me laugh harder than I already have. And, say hypothetically, that the Rangers do shutdown Ovechkin, Washington has a handful of weapons - Semin, Backstrom, Green,Laich, etc.

Washington in 6.

New Jersey (3) vs. Carolina (6)

This should be a dandy. Brodeur vs. Ward. We all know what Cam Ward did several years ago - bring the Canes to the promised land. However, since that special run Ward has struggled in goal. I'm going with the upset here.

Hurricanes in 7

Pittsburgh (4) vs. Philadelphia (5)

In my opinion, this is the second best series behind the Bruins-Habs. Both teams have weapons in the attack and defense. What it comes down to is the goalies: Fleury vs. Biron. Fleury has been pretty consistent this year and did have a strong run in last years playoffs; Biron, on the other hand, has been inconsistent.

Pittsburgh in 6

Smoke that shit

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
My new favorite quote! That's right. Directly from Guns n' Roses "Don't Damn Me." W00t.
So I told myself I would not listen to Audioslave for several reasons. But I broke that promise several days ago. I never hated Chris Cornell; in my opinion is has a tremendous voice. However, seeing that Rage broke up in 2000 and formed Audioslave, minus the singer. So I start listening to them. Cornell's voice is good, but Christ is Tom Morello AMAZING. I already knew how fucking good he was when I began to listen to Rage Against the Machine a handful of years ago, but Fuck Tom's amazing.
I'm too lazy to go into any depth or write anymore. Fuck, I miss the good ol' days.

Living on the edge

God! I thought I would never have anything remotely connected to Bon Jovi in this blog. Ever. Why did I decide to use that as a title? Good question. I'll let you know when I have an answer. On another note, I believe I have writer's block (whatever they call it now a days). Well, not necessarily writer's block. Perhaps a lack of motivation. Perhaps. I began to write my short (650 word) essay -due next tuesday - but I cannot exceed pass an introduction. Pretty lame, I know. Though I thought it may be because I'm empty on something or the writer's block that i mentioned several lines above, it turns out that I was capable of writing a poem in 5 minutes. Quite neat, huh? Yeah, I thought so too.
Anyways, that is a little depressing to think about (the fact that I could only write an introduction today.....what the fuck did you think it was?). I must have mentioned it a million times in the past, and quite frankly I don't care (about the amount of times I mentioned it of course!) but I should get back to writing on this blog like I did in 2008. That was a good year.
Big game tonight (figuratively) between Boston (top team in the East) and San Jose (top team in the west). Good time hockey. I am very excited for this matchup. Perhaps this is one of the reasons, if not the main reason, why I cannot write more than a fucking introduction. God damn it. Yes I am using the lord's name in vain. Christ, you don't need to point that shit out. Back to hockey. No other thoughts.

Nhl 09: Be A Pro

What an awesome sports game, especially be a pro. I used to love playing dynasty mode, but now that I can play online I rarely touch the dynasty mode. I love Be A Pro mode and xbox live ranked matches. I tend to lose plenty against other users but only by 1-2 goals (most of the time). This is the first time I am playing an NHL game on xbox so I am still getting used to the controls (right stick to shoot, hit and most of everything else). Then again I played the 2K series on PS2. Big difference.
My record online is: 8-25-5 HORRIBLE!!! I know.
My Be A Pro stats are better. I am a huge Boston Bruins fan so of course I chose the Bruins. My player name, Rochester Cone (HA HA HA). Keep in mind that I simulated about 20 games for the 10-11 season with Boston.
08-09: Boston 68GP 49G 23A 72PTS +50 232PIM
09-10: Boston 82GP 63G 34A 97PTS +42 205PIM
10-11: Boston 48GP 32G 21A 53PTS +16 52PIM
10-11: Florida34GP 46G 16A 62PTS +41 29PIM
Total 10-11: 82GP 78G 37A 115PTS +57 81PIM
11-12: Columbus

I know you are wondering about the 10-11 and 11-12 seasons. I was basically traded to Florida for Zednik and a first round pick (I believe). That pissed me off quite a bit. WHen I faced the Bruins 3 times I scored 9 goals and had 4 assists. After the 10-11 season I was a free agent and had to chose among 4 teams who offered me contracts: Phoenix, Florida, Columbus or Atlanta. Horrible choices I know. But Columbus was by far the better team. Fuck they made the Stanley Cup Finals in 10-11.

Guns n' Roses

Well that long, really long anticipated album, Chinese Democracy, finally arrived last sunday November 23. Over a decade of twisting the musical tune, financial problems, and Axl Rose's perfectionism the album came to life. The long wait can be seen as both an advantage and a disadvantage. However, the needle on the dashboard is leaning towards a disadvantage view point. A good chunk of rock listeners loved, enjoyed and dazzled for Guns n' Roses album, Appetite for Destruction, which came out in the late 1980s. It was marvelous, some may even argue the best album ever released. When the long anticipated Chinese Democracy album was set to be released many wondered if this was going to be better than AFD.
I have listened to the new album, and I still feel that I need to listen to it several more times before I make a conclusive decision whether it is a great, good, average or awful album. I can tell you this, no matter how many times I give Chinese Democracy a listen Appetite for Destruction will stand atop the pyramid as the best Guns n' Roses album. Some of the songs in Chinese Democracy such as the self titled song and Shackler's revenge seems to have a promising rhythm but lacks great lyrics and an energetic voice (sorry Axl). However, songs like Street of Dreams, This I Love, Catcher in the Rye, make up for the average lyrics and voice in Shackler's revenge and Chinese Democracy (the song). Actually, I must say that I do enjoy the chorus of Shackler's revenge as far as the lyrics go. When I first heard the song Chinese Democracy I told myself "umm, this sounds pretty darn good." But when Axl Rose's voice emerged I paused and said aloud "what the fuck? Is this really the final version of the song?"
I believe this album contains both GNR rock from AFD, but seems to embrace a lighter, friendlier (if I can put it that way) musical tune and vocals (not always aggressive).

What go around come around, kid

It feels like eternity. Bloody hell. Everything seems to get shorter . . . thinner . . . thicker? Remember remember, the fifth of November. Umm, I wonder why. Fuck!
*Raises volume of music*
*Stares at the itunes screen*
Nah. How about this one? Nah, I think I will stick with At the Drive-In.
*Changes song to Pattern Against User*
*Shuts the lights. Lays on the bed with closed eyes*
Out of control.

Stop!

Twenty and counting. October is passing by quickly. Mid-terms are over, but there still seems to be a shit load of work to do. Pulling hairs from the head or crotch is not the best way to release the stress. *pauses* Not that I pull my pubic hair with my bare hands; that would be quite painful. On to other things. I have noticed that I have barely posted the last two months - September and October. It sucks. I got work, but it does suck.
This may be my last post of the month, but most certainly not the last of the year.

One more way

This will be a fun and complex month. Oh, yeah. I doubt I will post much on this blog throughout October and most of November due to all the school work. Hold it. I do promise to post much much more after November. Well, that being said I guess I have nothing else better to lay upon you.
*scratches head*
Perhaps I need to shave my beard, or mustache. Maybe. Period. Time to put the xbox away for a while so that I can work a little more and be a little more distracted. Yeah, I get distracted.

Hockey is back

Hockey is back. The Boston Bruins are back. Hockey is back. Boston. Bergeron! Hockey! Fack. Jesus, it feels so good to watch hockey again. How many times did I say 'hockey?' Fuck.
The first period between Boston and Colorado has been practically one sided - Colorado - if you look at the shot total; 20-5 for Boston. However, the game is tied 2-2. Blake Wheeler gets his first career goal - first as a Boston Bruin. Also, Patrice Bergeron is playing his first NHL game in almost a year.
It feels good.

Just a little

October 9th.
Time to fly, drink and chill. Of course I am talking about my birthday. As much as I'm looking forward to number 20, I know that I will be bombarded with a shitload of work. Fuck.
Just a little.
Just a little love.
What a long fucking weekend. Argh! Time to write some poems.
