Guns N' Roses: About Fucking Time

Seems like forever. Really has. Feels like a Guns N' Roses marathon every single day. Yeah, it does. Fucking ecstatic about getting tickets to their concert in late January! It was pretty upsetting that all the bands I love either broke up, were not touring or weren't touring here. Bands like Rage Against the Machine (broke up 1999-2000, got together again for a tour last year but didn't come here), At the drive-in (broke up in 2001, but the singer and guitar player formed The Mars Volta - a band I love, too. I also missed them live early this month!), Bruce Springsteen (came here 3 years ago), The Strokes (broke up on & off), Jane's Addiction (reunited), New Found Glory (came here 2-3 years ago, didn't go), etc etc.
The point being: Guns N' FUCKING Roses is coming here and I got two tickets. I know the hardcore fans will criticize Axl Rose because GNR consists of one original member, Axl Rose. Long story short, those who like Axl Rose tend to support him, those who prefer Slash don't support Axl. A vicious circle. No one will know the full truth between Axl and Slash; only they know exactly what happened. That said, Axl Rose is one of my favorite singers of all time. He is up their with Rage Against the Machine's singer, Zack De La Rocha.
I cannot wait! I hope I don't go deaf!

*Oh, almost forgot to mention: the last time Gun's in Roses came to Montreal was way back in 1994 when they left 45 minutes into their performance because of technical difficulties (vocal sound was very bad and Axl had to yell louder just to get the sound at average: yes, he could have lost his voice then and there). As a result, the famous Montreal riots began. It should be very interesting to see what Axl does when he comes back to Montreal. Perhaps something special??
