The Bruins need Chara back and a win tonight

Oh Boy. Nine games remaining for the Boston Bruins, who remain in the playoff race but only a couple of points from being out of it. Their captain, Zdeno Chara also known as 'Big Z,' may return tonight. Maybe. Hopefully. We definitely need him to beat the freaking Habs. Argh! It is horrible and terrifying to see how bad we are against the Montreal Canadians. This year we are 0-6-0 and have scored 12 goals, but allowed a whopping 32 goals. Jesus! In other words, we score an average 2 goals against the Habs, but allow 5 goals a game.

Boston v. Montreal (The 6 games this season):
October:
Boston 1
Montreal 6

November:
Montreal 2
Boston 1

Boston 4
Montreal 7

December:
Montreal 4
Boston 2

January:
Montreal 5
Boston 2

Boston 2
Montreal 8

There you have it. Boston has been turned inside-out, slaughtered, shaken and stirred. Can we beat the Habs tonight? According to those stats and the last 2 years the answer is No. However, Boston is a more desperate team than the Habs, so there is a chance that we can win. A team cannot go 0-8 against its rival, right? After tonight, the Bruins travel to Montreal on saturday to close their season series. Who knows, maybe the Bruins will face the Habs in the playoffs. I know that is what the Habs fans want, since they believe it will be an easy walk in the park for them, but they seem to forget that the playoffs is a whole new ball game. Remember when the Bruins finished first overal a couple of years before the lockout? That Bruins team should have made it to the stanley cup finals and yet we got stomped by a team that should not have been in the playoffs, a team that had nothing on the Bruins. That being said, don't get too cocky and excited Habs fans.
